Alturas Community Network – ACN

Alturas Community Network (ACN)

Hello parents and teachers!

Whew! That flew by fast!

We apologize for the late update, but with all the end-of year activity this just got overlooked!
Our elections for next year’s parent board finished with a 33% participation rate (roughly). Please send an email to [email protected] if you have any ideas on how we can increase participation and enthusiasm. Our new board is already working on improvements!
Our final activity – the skate night – was a blast. Kids were everywhere and despite a few injuries, I think the spirit of friendship was felt by all. Over 207 students along with their families and a few friends were able to attend. We will continue to strive for great events like this. Thank you to those who were able to come and participate!

The new board is as follows:

President: Michelle Nelson
Vice President: Kimri Murphy
Secretary: Lori Griffel
Treasurer: Stephanie Dillon
MYP Coordinator: Megan Tholen
PYP Coordinator: Kate Scattergood

Don’t forget that we are always looking for ‘at large’ members (parents willing to chair, support, and lead in specific events).
Whatever support you give, whether directly to the school, through us, or in supporting your students is appreciated.

Please email [email protected] to put your name in the hat for one of these positions. We need you.

We are so thrilled to see what exciting things lie ahead for Alturas for the 18-19 year. We hope that you will join the ACN in helping Alturas be the very best it can be!
